Moisture beneath and around a Weir slab can tell two different stories.
The clay beneath concrete foundations in Weir responds strongly to moisture. A plumbing leak can keep one area below the slab wet through a dry stretch, while rain wets soil around the foundation from the surface. Those patterns can leave similar signs around the house even though they begin in different places.
That makes it important to look beyond a warm area of flooring or moisture at the slab edge. We work to establish whether water is coming from a pressurized supply line, a drain line, or water reaching the outside edge of the slab. The visible moisture alone does not settle that question.
Once the source is clear, the repair depends on where the pipe runs, how accessible it is, and the condition of related piping. After a plumbing repair, keeping persistent surface runoff away from the foundation also matters, since runoff and an underground leak can create similar wet conditions around the slab.
